Lagoon

Yesterday Rodona and I and two of her older children went to Lagoon.

It was a blast. I rode ever coaster in the park. My favorite was one of the newer ones called Wicked. If you haven't been there, it's a great place to go for a day to ride fun rides.

I would compare Wicked to some of the coasters I've ridden at King's Island in Cincinnati, Ohio and others from Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

Wow what a day, we didn't get back to Idaho until 1a.m. this morning, then rose bright and early to go garage sailing around Pocatello.

I found a nice looking, in good condition trumpet for Jared, so excited, now he won't have to borrow one anymore.

You came to Utah, and went to Lagoon? I love Lagoon, if I would have known, I would have come up there and see ya! Why didn't you call us?

I let Chris know that I was coming to Idaho and that there was a possibility I'd be at Lagoon once.

She asked me if I was bringing the children and I said No it was a girls trip and I had my cell phone on me the entire time.

Sorry you didn't know, it would have been nice to see some family.

No, Michelle, you did not let me know you would be coming to Utah. I only knew you would be going to Pocatello. In fact, when I found out you were going straight to Idaho Falls rather than SLC airport, I felt badly but figured this was your trip and you probably didn't want to hook up with any of us. I had absolutely NO idea that you would be coming to Utah. In fact, I found out as an after thought that you were even coming out this way. I figured that you didn't really want to see anyone so we didn't want to push ourselves on you.
Glad you had a good trip.
Chris

Hi Chris,

I don't expect you to remember everything we talked about since you have a lot going on right now, but I do remember talking to you about my upcoming trip to Idaho. I mentioned that I wanted to go to Lagoon, but wasn't sure if it would happen or even what day. You mentioned right after that about Ammon's surgery and all about it and that you couldn't come see us the weekend of the 4th like you wanted to and didn't want to come the next weekend cause I wouldn't be there, that's when I mentioned that you could come to Idaho if you wanted and I would have my cell phone and you were welcome to come to Rodona's house. You kind of dismissed that and went on to talk about the intensive surgery that was coming up. You had a lot on your mind and still do. It's okay that I didn't see family. It would have been great, but you must have forgotten to mention it to the other family members and that's okay. I had a grand time in Idaho and can't wait to go back and hope someday to move back. I hope all is well with Ammon. Take Care!

Also I didn't fly into Salt Lake City becuase I was visiting Pocatello,Idaho and SLC was 2 1/2 hours away from Pocatello and I was trying to get as close to Pocatello as possible to save gas money for Rodona. Idaho Falls was only 40 minutes from her house and the ticket ended up being almost $100 less flying in to I.F. than if I would have gone to SLC. Since I flew from a small airport here (Cedar Rapids) it would have been nearly $500 to fly to SLC and then over $100 in gas to have her get me there and take me back. Too much for any of us to spend.

Going to Idaho wasn't an afterthought at all. I go there every other year to visit. So the next trip is planned for summer of 2010. You wouldn't have been pushing anything on me. I invited you to come to Idaho to visit me and would have loved to see you but I knew you had a giant surgery coming up and that was more important. No big deal, I'm back now and having a grand time being a Mom again.
Have a happy day, we will here, it's Alyssa's 9th birthday!!

Michelle,
Thanks for such a wonderful visit!
We laughed so hard, we cried. Definitely great memories were created.

Thank you for sacrificing your PC conference and time away from Jason and the kids to be here. I appreciate all the time and effort you spent in making this trip possible.

Now that you are back in Iowa...
My kids miss 'their' zumba instructor. My husband misses the pampered chef meals. I miss my dearest friend.

Here's looking forward to next time! ~Rodona

Chris, you shouldn't have forwarded on a personal e-mail to Jason that I wrote you. You had no right to do that. I did NOT lie about coming to Idaho. It was always in the plans. You never once invited me to Utah. I did in fact invite you to Idaho.
