The winning adult costume

Scott was just given Halloween candy and is instantly happy.

These two girls are actually sisters. Names Danyel and Janeen. Janeen's daughter Bella is who I babysit for. They received an honorable mention for thier costumes.

Daniel running in his 1 mile race. Daniel placed 2nd out of 55 and had a time of 6:25. This was his first race ever.

Jared running in his 1 mile race. Jared's time was 8:35 and he placed 20th out of 55 participants. Great for his first race ever.

Scott and Alyssa getting ready to start their Mini Monster race. Double click on this picture and you can see them in the middle.

Scott running.

I had just passed the 1 mile mark and Jared took a picture of me.

Jason running towards the finish, his time was 28:10 He placed 5th out of 11 in his age group. 94th place over all out of the 306 participants. This was his first off-road race.

Me running towards the finish line. My legs were so hot in that costume, but I finished and placed 6th in my age group out of 20. Overall I was 141 out of 306 with a time of 31:02 not a great time, but it was my first Off Road Race ever.
Brenden placed 34th out of 306 participants. His time was 23:32 beating his last 5K by 1 second. He was 11 out of 27 in his age group. Looks like he is flying, oh that's right he is!

Wilson's Apple Orchard

On Saturday afternoon Jason was busy painting our deck that desperately needed refinishing.

The only children home were Jared, Brenden and Alyssa.
Caleb was at work. Daniel was at a friend's house and Scott was at a Scouting activity all day.

I had the grand idea to go to the Apple Orchard. So I gathered up these three and off we went. All three complained all the way there.

Then we arrived and climbed on the tractor that takes you down into the orchard. As you can see they were all not happy to be with me.

We found the pumpkins and the apples.

We had to climb a couple trees to get to the apples. Brenden wasn't sure how to get down so he tried his Spiderman web.

Instead of waiting for the tractor to pick us up we decided to walk back. We had to cross a creek, it was super cold, but fun to cross!

Then I made this Apple Pie with the apples we picked! YUM

Our Van is Dead

Bummed out. Jason and I went out to the van this morning and it was dead. Didn't start at all.

So we tried to jump it. No luck.

Sad.
Our mechanic has our van now and we will know on Monday our total cost. I'm glad our insurance covers towing by 100%. If only they could pick up the repair cost as well.

Help my Royal Crown hurts.

Last Wednesday I got my first and HOPEFULLY only crown in the left upper part of my mouth.

I had to get a crown because I had a cracked tooth.

Before getting the crown I had tight contacts between the teeth, meaning it has always been hard to get the dental floss between the teeth back there and I would hardly get anything out (that's good right?)

Well I get the crown and now there's space on both sides of that tooth and when I floss I literally get chunks of food out. (sick right?)

So my questions are:

Should I have this large space now on both sides of the tooth?

AND

Should my crown, or tooth, or whatever is back there now still be hurting 1 week and 2 days later?

If you are a dentist or a dental student or have any knowledge whatsoever on teeth or if you just feel like helping me out, please respond.

By the way, I just called my dentist's voice mail at their office at 10:25 p.m. and left a message saying I'm in pain and need to be seen as soon as possible.

My last question:

Do you think they will charge me to check it out?
