Easter Fun!

Every year we take the children to a commercial egg hunt somewhere in the city. This year the weather was so incredible that everyone in Iowa City must have been there so it ended up being super crowded and not that much fun.
We came home and hosted our own egg hunt in the back yard. Here are a few of those pictures.

Here is Daniel being super goofy with all of his candy from his eggs. Notice he is wearing his hat in the house. I have told him a hundred times to take that thing off.

Here are a few pictures of the children coloring eggs.

Today we went to church. There was a broadcast from Salt Lake City for our stake conference. The talks were excellent. This has been a very nice Easter. Only thing that would make it better would be spending it with some extended family.

Looks like a nice relaxing weekend. Always the best kind! We tried the tye dye coloring this year. It had bright colors and the kids had fun. I was just glad there was no dye spilled everywhere.

Fun pictures! Glad you had a nice weekend. Did you make deviled (sp?) eggs from the colored eggs? I forgot to make some for dinner yesterday. You have started a great tradition in our household - they love it when we have deviled eggs. I rarely ever made them until you made them for Thanksgiving one year. Now we have them often when we get together. It's a good way to use colored eggs, but we didn't color them this year.

We didn't make deviled eggs because the children wanted to eat their eggs. One of the first things Jason asked me was if we were making deviled eggs.
