Herky hunt with the Young Women

For a Young Women's activity at church they wanted to learn how to read maps.
So we did a Herky scavenger hunt. We split the girls into teams and then went to find all the different Herky around the area. You had to have a picture with each one you found, you had to mark it on the map where you found it and you had to tell the driver where to go next to find more Herkys from the Herky on Parade thing going on around Iowa City and other places.

See link here to understand what Herky on Parade is all about.

What is a Herky?  Answer here.

What and where are all the different Herky's?  See map and descriptions here.

There were prizes for most unique picture, farthest away herky, a prize for who found the most herkys and so on.  I was the driver and another Youth leader named Robin took all the pictures.
