Jared Graduated

I just have to say for as crappy, and I mean that in the whole sense of the word. For as utterly crappy as the Iowa weather has been for months and months, it was absolutely gorgeous on graduation day. So beautiful out and no bugs out yet.
Here is Jared before he left.

Another picture before he left.

We found Dan there.  So we got a quick picture, but then lost him when we went to have a family picture.

The diploma, so it's for real!

A family picture.  Minus Caleb, who is on his mission, minus Daniel who we couldn't find, minus Brenden who was working.

Love this kid!  So proud of him.

New Personal Records

Jason and I both beat our Half Marathon Personal Records this past Saturday.   Such a sweet day.  I was able to keep up with Jason the entire time!   Our new record is 2:09:04.    You can see pictures and read all about it here! Our next big goal is to do a Half marathon in the Fall in less than 2 hours.  Anything is possible now!

Trip to Ohio

Every year for the last few years I have gone to Ohio the first week of May.  My parents live there and there is a super great race I love to do in the great city of Columbus.

Something totally awesome about this year is that my sister and her family moved back to Ohio, just a half hour from my parent's home so I got to see her and spend time with her.  We got to go garage sailing, out to lunch to my favorite place Donatos Pizza,  and I got to hold her new baby.  I will be posting more about this race on my running blog soon.  I ran really well and had a great time of 2:16:41, thus only missing my PR by 11 seconds.

Here are a few pictures from the trip:

Jan's newest baby.  So cute.

Jan's husband Warren with one of my cute nieces.

My sister Jan with my adorable nephew, Ethan.

Lucy and Ethan in the bounce house.

My Dad captured this picture of me finishing the half marathon.
Another picture of me running.
A picture with my sister and most of her family.  The baby was sleeping in her stroller.
